The book is sectioned into 5 areas - Pueblo textiles, Northern Mexico textiles, Rio Grande textiles, Navajo textiles (which is broken down into the early history and blanket trade, uses of Navajo weaving, the Navajo Universe, sacred symbols and ceremonial weavings, modern regional styles, Two Grey Hills, current weaving conditions and new approaches to marketing Navajo weavings) and care of textiles.
