This authentic folktale is an example of Hopi oral literature. It relates the story of a famine suffered by the Hopi people and how a brother and sister and a magic hummingbird were able to persuade Muy'ingwa, the god of fertility and germination to bring rain and crops back to their village. Michael Lacapa's colorful illustrations bring the story to life.
