The Denver Art Museum's permanent collection of contemporary Navajo weaving, consisting of thirty-eight rugs and tapestries woven during the 1980s and early 1990s is catalogued in this volume. The collection attempts to exemplify the best weaving in progress on the reservation, including recognized styles and one-of-a-kind weavings. The weavings are organized into five groups based on design sources; each weaving is illustrated in a color photograph, and documented with the date and place it was woven, the name of the weaver, exhibition history of the textile, and a technical analysis of its construction.

Denver Art Museum, 1992.
Paperback, 112 pages.
