Noel Bennett lived on the the Navajo Reservation from 1968 to 1976. During her stay she lived with and was taught by Tiana Bighorse, who was honored in as the "1991 Navajo of the Year." From Tiana and other weavers, Noel learned the full cycle of weaving - from shearing, carding, spinning, plant-dyeing the yarn and weaving on a loom. Her dedication to this teaching brought about this book which will teach you everything you need to know about Navajo weavings and how to tell if they are genuine.
