This contemporary seed bowl by Carolyn Concho features Kokopelli playing its instrument of choice, the flute. Its head is raised off the body of the pot along with a ladybug off to the side. The piece is handbuilt and is painted with natural mineral slips of black on white with highlights in oranges, rusts and light green. Fine line patterning with feather and geometric designs create a great blending of the ancient and contemporary in this piece.
Carolyn Concho is known for her miniature pottery painted with clean, precise designs with brightly colored accents. The addition of three dimensional details give her work a distinctive look.3 1/4" diameter x 1 3/4" tall
