Pin/Pendant, Zuni Inlay Dragonfly Dancer by Rolanda Haloo (Zuni) SOLD

Stretching his arms and wings, this dragonfly dancer looks as if he could fly!  The body is sterling silver, and the wings are inlaid with turquoise and red coral, the headdress with turquoise, lapis and red coral, the kilt with turquoise, red coral and opal, and the moccasins with turquoise.

Rolanda Haloo has been making jewelry since she was 11 years old, after watching her father, Jacob Haloo, and her older siblings, Dolly Banteah, Nancy Laconsello, Lolita Natachu, and Jake Livingston.  After her marriage and collaboration with Harlan Coonsis ended, Rolanda began to strike out on her own, developing her signature dragonfly maiden design that has now evolved into the dragonfly dancer as well.
