Randy David, a creative and skillful Hopi carver, has created a contemporary version of the Corn Dolls out of cottonwood. This piece has the Tawa (Sunface) design encircled by carved eagle feathers. The body of this piece is an ear of corn with a carved down-turned green husk. Each kernel of corn is outlined and in a variety of colors that are pleasing to the eye. Randy David is from the First Mesa.
