Multi Inlay Bolo with Coral, Jet, Turquoise, and 14K Gold Set in Sterling Silver by Edison Cummings (Navajo)

Edison Cummings began his artistic career studying painting and sculpture at IAIA in Santa Fe, graduating in 1984. After getting a teaching degree from Arizona State University, he took up bull riding, until injuries forced him to give that up nine years later.  In 1991 he started working as a jeweler, and has become known for his outstanding raised inlay work and contemporary silver work using a variety of techniques and creating unusual pieces of jewelry as well as objects such as tea pots and flatware.  His work has won many award, including Best of Class and Best of Division at the Heard Museum and Santa Fe Indian Markets, and has been featured in books and museum exhibits.
