Item Number: TAK004
The Sai-astasana, or Zuni Rain Priest of the North, Katsina accompanies the Shalako figures that were borrowed from the Zuni Pueblo. He wears a mask with a horn on one side and an oversized ear on the other, and a white shirt under a blanket for a dress.
Terry Gasdia uses old driftwood for his traditional styled carvings, and paints them with pigments that give them more muted colors, resulting in carvings with a both ancient and contemporary air about them.
