This is a revised edition updating the 1977 edition of J.J. Brody's Mimbres Painted Pottey. The Mimbres people occupied the somewhat isolated mountain and river valleys of southwestern New Mexico from about 1000 to 1250 AD. The author addresses how the art reflects human and animal iconography and the technology used to produce the ceramics.
