Necklace, Fetish - Multi-stone, Multi-animal by Andres Quandelacy (Zuni)

Andres Quandelacy is known for his delicate, detailed carvings.  In this colorful necklace, he has used his signature, sinuous mother of pearl mountain lion with inlaid coral heartline as the centerpiece, surrounded by bears, wolves, deer, moles, buffaloes, rams and mountain lions.  They have been carved from a variety of stones, including turquoise, lapis, jet, malachite, jasper, pink mussel shell, mother of pearl and orange spiny oyster shell, and are strung on a double strand of coral beads.
