Klagetoh Rug by Lilly Stanley (Navajo) - SOLD

An elongated diamond in black, light gray, red and dark gray on a white background with a black border is surrounded by a light gray border in this bold Klagetoh style weaving by Lilly Stanley.  She has placed stepped designs in the corners inside an elaborate black on white border.

Klagetoh style weavings use the same colors as those used in Ganado weavings -- red, black, gray and white, with the Klagetoh weavers using more gray. Their designs are often more intricate, with variations of diamonds inside diamonds and elaborate borders.
