Corn husk hair and watermelon are used to embellish this Koshare storyteller that holds two captivated children. Handmade by Jemez/Laguna artist, Lupe Lucero, the expressive faces are whimsical and will bring a smile to your face.

“Storytellers” are clay figures that depict the elders sharing and teaching culture and history through oral traditions with others, most often the younger generation. Children are often seen climbing on adult laps and sitting and listening with great interest and excitement through the narratives.
