Jhane Myers NoiseCat (Comanche) comes from the Blackfeet Nation and from the Penetuckah (sugar eater) and Yaparucah (root eater) bands of the Comanche Nation. It is from her heritage that she draws her inspiration. She received her degree from the Fashion and Art Institute in Dallas and went into the fashion industry where, for a time, she worked for designer Ralph Lauren. For years Jhane has been recognized as a clothing and regalia maker, beadworker, a world champion Native Southern Buckskin dancer and has recently begun to win awards for her hand made dolls for which she creates authentically dressed clothing. She is also recognized for creating traditional styles of dress in sterling silver, brass and copper jewelry. She is on the board of directors at The Comanche National Museum and Cultural Center (CNMCC) and has held the position of Tribal Outreach Director for the Southwestern Association for Indian Arts (SWAIA).
