This doll is depicted in a traditional, Navajo style dress and is created in a weaving technique referred to as needle felting. This doll is made entirely of Alpaca wool where Beth has used a technique referred to as needle felting. Needle felting is a technique that fuses or blends multiple layers of wool. Beth has accented her doll with a strand of cedar berry beads.
Beth Robertson has been weaving since she was young, is fascinated with fiber arts and has experiemented and utilized many different weaving techniques in her art, including that of the traditional Navajo upright loom.
