Award-winning artists Charlene and Frank Reano of the San Felipe and Santo Domingo Pueblos set their traditional herringbone patterned mosaic inlay into a sterling silver setting so that they could solder clips onto the backs. The bright blue of the turquoise is complemented by the dark blue lapis, bright orange spiny oyster shell and white mother of pearl.
Charlene and Frank are experts in the ancient technique of mosaic inlay, but they are always coming up with new innovations and designs, bringing this timeless art into the twenty-first century.
