Cherokee Mississippian Rain & Mountains Jar by Roberta Wallace (Cherokee) - SOLD

This graceful jar by award-winning Cherokee potter Roberta Wallace was inspired by the pottery from the Mississippian cultures and pieces found at the Haley Mound in northern Texas. It was awarded First Place in the Traditional-Large Incised Vessels category at Santa Fe Indian Market in 1993. She uses local Oklahoma clays and traditional techniques to articulate her interpretations of this historic pottery. The jar is hand built and stone polished.
