This striking warrior has a soaring eagle watching over him. Carved from alabaster by Ray Pettigrew, this powerful figure is wearing a bone choker and breastplate. His face has been painted with positive and negative bands of spots, and the undersides of the eagle's wings are decorated with running horses and flying birds.
Ray Pettigrew began his career in art drawing in pencil, and slowly progressed through painting with watercolor and acrylics to sculpting with wood and then alabaster.
